For over 100 years, the successful Swiss company has stood for high quality, tradition and unique performance in the wax and textile care business. Through correct application of the wax, skis and boards can glide better through the snow and give even more safety. Likewise, the right care extends the life of your skis and boards.

The history

Since the founding of Toko 100 years ago, tradition is written very large:

  • 1916 – Foundation of the company "Tobler & Co."
  • 1928 – Construction of the first factory in Altstätten, Switzerland
  • 1933/34 – Tobler & Co. changes its name to ToKo AG
  • 1940 – Reaming wax 1-3-5 becomes legendary
  • 1948 – first international marketing activities at the Winter Olympics as official wax service provider
  • 1962 – new factory building in Altstätten
  • 1970 – the new administration building is inaugurated
  • 1975 – Presentation of the hot wax concept with the colour concept yellow (warm) - red (medium) - blue (cold)
  • 1982 – Alexander Schmidheiny takes over the company
  • 1993 – Conzetta Holding becomes owner of Toko AG
  • 2003 – Mammut Sports Group AG is integrated into Toko AG
  • 2009 – Outsourcing of Toko wax products. Swiss Made is guaranteed by the company FRIKE
  • Takeover of Swix Sport AS, foundation of the new company Toko-Swix Sport AG in Altstätten
  • 2012 – a new Hot Wax line is introduced
  • 2014 – new Top Finish line / Jet Stream Powder 2.0, Jet Stream Bloc 2.0 and HelX 2.0
  • 2016 – 100th anniversary of TOKO
