Nomad Manufacturer information

A Swedish company developed new products in the Netherlands in 1965, including synthetic blankets and sleeping bags. The company name at the time, "Polydaun", was created from the terms "polyester" and "down". The products had a very colourful design and thus stood out from the competition, whose products were mostly only in the colours green, blue and brown. With their high quality products and a strong business sense, the company pushed itself to the top of the industry. A few years later, the same kind of thinking and innovation gave birth to the "Nomad" brand. The product range has expanded over time from sleeping bags to mats, tents, bags and outdoor companions. However, the company's motto remains, "We are nomadic: completely independent and always on the move to face any adventure that awaits us."

Development of high quality tents

Nomad has 25 years of experience in the production of high quality tents. The company primarily uses coated and uncoated technical cotton (65% polyester, 35% cotton) to manufacture the outer tent fabric. This brings the following advantages:

  • the tents are absolutely durable, highly resistant to UV radiation.
  • the tents are breathable and have low condensation.
