In 1985, Charles Cole founded the Five Ten brand. The name was derived from the decimal system, which determines the difficulty of a climbing route.
Climbing shoes with experience
Charles Cole was an avid climber from a young age, with the motto "One with the dirt". It soon became clear that the climbing shoes of the time were inadequate and he decided to work with leading scientists and experts in California to design a better climbing shoe.
