Chung Shi Manufacturer information

ME & Frieds AG, based in Holzkirchen in Upper Bavaria, is the quality leader in the field of functional health shoes with its Chung Shi brand. The company was founded in 2001 by Michael Ertl.

How it all began

It all started with the shoe line "AuBioRiG®", which ensures an upright and conscious gait pattern and thus counteracts back and joint problems. The effectiveness of AuBioRiG® has been proven by medical studies: in 2010 the line was awarded "tested and approved" by the Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V. (AGR). (AGR) with "tested and recommended".

In the pursuit of real function, reliable quality and social responsibility, the next product family Duflex was then created. This is characterised by the use of light, soft and pollutant-free EVA materials. In 2008, the DUX red model from this product category was the only one of 22 comparable products from well-known manufacturers to be awarded the test rating "very good" by the magazine Ökotest.

The term Chung Shi comes from a rich and ancient philosophical tradition and means something like: live your present, respect your experiences and plan your future actively: live – learn – plan.
