You're probably not familiar with the name Joan Rojas, because this Catalan businessman is not someone who particularly likes to be in the public eye. Joan Rojas took a different path to make a change. An avid motorcyclist, he loved to feel freedom while riding. In 1992, he regularly rode around Igulada, always wearing a neck warmer to keep out the wind and cold. Still, it was uncomfortable for him.

First steps

Day after day, he grappled with materials and fabrics, drawing and researching to develop his perfect neck warmer. A seamless tunnel band made of microfibers was the most suitable. At first worn only by family members and friends, more and more people saw the new cold weather protection and wanted it. Within three years Joan Rojas managed to sell his collection mainly in Germany, France and Switzerland. However, Joan Rojas' success was no coincidence, but the result of his tireless commitment and passion. 

A close connection to his homeland

Buff has strong roots in its homeland, with over 90% of its products designed, developed and manufactured in Igulada (Barcelona). So production still takes place where the story began. This makes it easier to monitor the production and distribution processes and guarantees the best quality.

Probably the best-known product of the manufacturer is the versatile Original Buff tube scarf, which protects against cold, wind and sun. It is now exported to over 60 countries.
