Beal Manufacturer information

The family business with 45 employees is located in Vienne, France. Beat is the world's largest manufacturer of ropes for climbing and industry. The reason for this leading position is the huge technical advantage in the manufacturing process over other companies. Beal is the first manufacturer to obtain CE certification for its semi-static ropes for caving, industry and rescue.

Worldwide success

Eight million meters of rope are sold annually at the Vienna plant. These sales figures and the international presence are guaranteed by the network of distributors in 40 countries around the globe. Without being affected by the fluctuations of the dollar, Beal has a branch in Georgia to serve the American market as well.

A culture of dynamism

Beal's history has been marked by passion and eagerness to explore since the beginning. The brand was born at the beginning of the 80s, at the centre of all the upheavals that were taking place in the climbing scene. After climbers regularly fell, the development of dynamic ropes succeeded in freeing climbers from their fear of falling. Focusing all their energy on the climbing movement, they have achieved spectacular advances such as the Black Limit program system, as well as Dry Cover, ultra-light ropes or the lowest possible arresting forces.

Environmental awareness

Restrictions in the packaging sector and the recycling of polyamide remnants distinguish the manufacturer. But also the merger with "Wood en Stock" is a matter of the heart of Beal. Within 2 years, the goal is to plant a tree on Madagascar for every rope sold.
