It is made of lightweight aluminum with a steel insert in the bend for added abrasion resistance and is designed for long life. The integrated wire shackle prevents twisting and keeps the carabiner in place at all times, while the keylock closure allows for easy handling without pinching. In addition, the shackle can only be opened by applying pressure from above, which prevents unintentional release from the webbing loop.
