Lots of space with little weight

The Alto TR2 Trekking Tent from Sea to Summit offers a lot of space in the tent due to the new Tension Ridge architecture. With this new technology, the two cross poles are bent upwards at the highest point of the inner tent, not downwards as in other tents. This gives more space in the tent and it is 108 cm high at the highest point. Furthermore, the doors are higher, which makes it more convenient to get in and out. High flexibility is ensured by the two entrances with the vestibules in front of them. Also here you have more space for your equipment or as a cooking area.
The low weight of only 1.34 kg is achieved by using only very light materials such as DAC Featherlite aluminum Poles and 15D nylon fabric.

Easy to assemble

The DAC Featherlite aluminum poles are fully connected and color-coded at the ends, making setup very easy. The color-coded pole ends plug into the designated ends on the tent. Sea to Summit has further refined the Quick-Connect Pole Feets. Milled aluminum clips make attaching the outer tent quick and one-handed and they are also much more durable than traditional plastic buckles.
The Alto TR2 tent can be pitched and used without the outer tent in nice weather. Through the mesh inner tent you are then optimally ventilated and protected from mosquitoes under the open sky. However, only the outer tent can be set up without the inner tent.

Optimal ventilation

At the highest point of the Alto TR2 tent are the Apex Vents. These vents allow warm, moist air to escape from the tent. If necessary, the Apex Vent ventilation can be closed from the inside with a zipper. Adjustable vents on the doors (Baseline Vents) allow you to control airflow as well as condensation in wet conditions without letting rain into the tent. The combination of Apex Vents and Baseline Vents creates a chimney effect where cool air can enter the tent from below and warm air escapes at the highest point of the tent.

New stuff sack system

The Fair-Share Storage is three different pack sacks in which you can pack the tent. This way the weight can be well distributed. The pack sacks can be stowed both connected and individually.
When the tent is set up, you can hang two pack sacks in the inner tent and use them as bags for your gear. The pole pack sack converts into a light bar. Simply attach it to the top of the tent, insert one or two headlamps, and the clear diffuser will illuminate the tent from above.
