Black Diamond made it happen - the patent-pending RigidFlex center stay. The independently routed tension wires ensure that the Camalot Z4 remains completely rigid while under tension and the clamping segments are folded in. Once in place, the center stay can move, preventing it from wandering when rope tension is applied to it. The center web on the larger Camalots features a double-twisted cable construction that allows for even flex in all directions. The single cable construction on the smaller cams avoids kinking when the pull lever is heavily loaded and reduces overall size.
