The offset center pole allows for easy entry and raises the outer wall slightly to allow natural air circulation. If you want to save weight, you can remove the inner tent from this tipi and adjust the telescopic center pole so that the outer tent is close to the ground - ideal as a bivouac tent. Small, ingenious corner poles are also sewn into the inside of the tent to create additional space and provide a darkened environment.
