If you like to tour with one or two companions, the Boulder 3 trekking tent from Robens is just right. But it is also perfect for couples with a child. With this model, the inner tent is pitched first. The classic dome design allows the tent to stand freely. In the middle of the poles is a small, transverse ridge pole. This pole ensures that the walls of the inner tent are pitched more steeply, creating more space in the tent. At a height of 1 m, you can sit comfortably in the tent. The Boulder 3 can accommodate 3 adults with standard mats (approx. 50 cm wide). Comfortably you lie here for two, because then there is space for mats with a width of up to 70 cm
After the inner tent has been set up, the outer tent is attached. Here, the ridge pole for on the front and back, where there is also an entrance for 2 large vestibules.

Vestibules and entrances

The Boulder 3 has 2 opposite entrances. 2 entrances have several advantages. When several people are traveling, they can get in and out better without climbing on top of each other. Having 2 entrances also creates 2 vestibules that can be used either for storage or as an extension of the living space. If you don't mind, you can also close one vestibule completely and use it only for storage. This increases the living area in the tent. The other vestibule can then serve as a weather shelter or as a shelter when cooking

Fresh air at night

Although the inner tent is made of breathable polyester and with mesh inserts, the flame-retardant "HydroTex Core" material with a water column of 3000 mm ensures that you stay absolutely dry and protected even in rain and wind. However, this also means that little air gets into the tent. So that you can sleep well at night, two rainproof vents are attached to the roof. When the night is dry, you can roll up the outer tent at the vestibules. The mosquito nets in the doors provide airflow and keep mosquitoes out.
