Grüezi bag Manufacturer information

Grüezi bag is a young Bavarian brand that has set itself the goal of developing innovative sleeping bags. In order to have a chance against the established manufacturers, a sleeping bag had to come out at the end of a long and elaborate development, which is better than those previously available on the market.

Grüezi Bag – the sleeping bag with alpine wool

People have been using wool in blankets for centuries. Wool has been used as an insulating material in winter jackets for a few years now, and it works great. So why not in sleeping bags? After numerous tests and trials, Markus Wiesböck, founder of Grüezi-Bag, found the right mix of materials and since 2015 has been the first manufacturer to produce sleeping bags with alpine wool. Whether professional product testers, outdoor enthusiasts or hobby campers: Almost everyone is thrilled by the outstanding sleeping climate.

Sleep naturally and well with alpine wool from Grüezi bag

Grüezi bag, the sleeping bag brand from the Alps, has made the sleeping climate its business. The alpine wool used in the sleeping bags serves as a natural air conditioner. The body releases moisture at all times. However, if there is too much humidity in the sleeping bag, the body freezes and good sleep is no longer possible. Wool absorbs moisture and passes it on to the outside in doses - so that no evaporative cooling occurs. This regulation enables a warming or cooling effect to be achieved in order to create a feeling of well-being in the sleeping bag that ensures relaxed sleep. Wool therefore warms even when damp. Grüezi bag uses the filling wool of sheep from the Alpine region for its Biopod product line. It is supplied by the well-known wool supplier Lavalan.

DownWool

DownWool is an innovative sleeping bag filling developed by Grüezi bag made of 70 percent down and 30 percent wool. The down provides a very high insulation performance at a low weight. However, down only insulates as long as it is dry. With increasing humidity the insulating effect of the down is reduced considerably. Wool has the property to insulate and to absorb humidity. Thus, the down remains dry longer and thus retains its very high insulating capacity.
